Lane Cryer has served at Meeker First Baptist Church as the Youth Minister since April 21st, 2024. He is currently a student at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he is studying Middle School History Education and Christian Ministry. He accepted his call to student ministry in February of his sophomore year at OBU. After he graduates, he plans to continue doing Student Ministry, along with teaching, and getting his master's.

Lane's desire for the students is for them 1. Know Christ, 2. Grow through discipleship, and 3. Go share the Gospel. The theme for the student ministry is for students to live by our 1X1 model (2 Timothy 2:2) as they learn to #betheone to #seektheone.

Lane's passions are sports (football and basketball specifically), the Texas Longhorns, spending time with his girlfriend Megan, and ultimately, he loves serving and loving others well.

Children's Ministry Director

Tamera Jackson

Bobby and I have lived in Meeker for 24 years. We have raised our boys here and run a family business. I have always had a heart for kids and a desire to tell them about the love Jesus has for them. My goal is to make sure the next generation can continue to tell the stories.

Secretary

Darla Clark

I graduated from OBU in 1985 and stayed at home raising my kids for many years. I substituted as

secretary as needed during this time. I have been the secretary for 19 years. I have 3 children and 13

grandchildren. I also participate in the mission ministry, teach a girl’s class on Wednesday evenings, and

teach children’s church 2 times a month. I was raised up going to church and I was saved when I was

twelve at a Baptist church in Texas. God has always watched over me and been there for me. I hope and

pray that I can become more like Christ and share His love through my opportunities of teaching.
